Facing the horror hanging over Occidental Africa (multiplication of the mining exploitations, leaving devastated cyanide-infected earth and populations at the end of their tether; arms deals over the fronteers; presence of private armies on mining sites, american GIs implemented on the sahelian zone since 2004; militar coup in Mauritania, oppression in Chad, etc.)
we organize a platform for the exchange of informations, in order to collect and deliver informations
collected on the spot ; which mining companies are implementing ? where ? how ? which associative networks are already there ?
collected on the web or in any database : how is ore processed ? What are the possible issues ? the guidelines for the miners ? what are the rights of the populations facing miners ? what legal instruments to use for prevailing it ?
We intend to join together, to support one or another action started by the local populations (lobbying); to dialogue with the miners to check the respect of the environmental guidelines; to consult together to anticipate the « after-mine »…
So we create the OREZ - Organization des Ressortissants à l’Etranger de Zones minières.
Our first action is to make up this list and this website.
